Reading Order

Reading Order

What order to read Dave Sinclair books?

That’s an excellent question I just asked myself.
Each of the series (Eva, Bishop, Atticus, Nash) have a self contained arc, that is, each book of the series should be read in order as they lead to an end of the story arc. But then the question is, what order should I read the series? That, my friend, is a more tricky question. There’s three possible ways, release order, chronological and, well, another way….

Release order –
This is the order that the books were released in.

Eva Destruction Novels
The Barista’s Guide to Espionage
The Rookie’s Guide to Espionage (novella)
The Amnesiac’s Guide to Espionage
The Dead Spy’s Guide to Espionage

Charles Bishop Novels
Kiss My Assassin
Agent Provocateur
Venetian Blonde

Atticus Wolfe Novels
Out of Time
It Takes a Spy
The Coldest War

Mason Nash Novels
Past Transgressions
Shadow Hunting
Devil’s End

Chronological
Given that Atticus is set in the 60s and Bishop was a prequel to the Eva books, it would look like this.

Atticus Wolfe Novels
Out of Time
It Takes a Spy
The Coldest War

Charles Bishop Novels
Kiss My Assassin
Agent Provocateur
Venetian Blonde

Eva Destruction Novels
The Barista’s Guide to Espionage
The Rookie’s Guide to Espionage (novella)
The Amnesiac’s Guide to Espionage
The Dead Spy’s Guide to Espionage

Mason Nash Novels
Past Transgressions
Shadow Hunting
Devil’s End

Cat Chosen methodology

Cat Chosen
This is by far the most scientific and, let’s be honest, completely bonkers method. I asked Astrid the cat to select the order to read the books. She selected the following:

Kiss My Assassin
The Coldest War
The Amnesiac’s Guide to Espionage
Past Transgressions
Then she licked her butt and went off for a nap.
(It’s a work in progress)
